I was hesitant before starting treatment. I'm so glad I went through with the decision to start. I have noticed such an improvement in my confidence now that my teeth are nearly straight. Before Invisalign, they were very overcrowded. I haven’t had any issues and am almost finished.

I am over half way through my treatment and am finding that the aligners fit in a lot better with my lifestyle! My best tip is to buy denture cleaner tablets. This may sound odd, but they work. I soak the aligners every morning for a few minutes while I am brushing my teeth. After soaking, the aligners are fresh and clean. My voice has also completely adjusted. I was worried about the lisp in the beginning but it quickly went away. I wear my Invisalign for at least 20 hours each day. I am still aware that they are there, but I know that other people aren’t aware so I am less self-conscious. Taking the trays out to eat is the most inconvenient aspect. I no longer wear them to social events but keep them with me so I can put them on when I leave to avoid losing too much wear time.

I cried the day I got my Invisalign because they were not comfortable and I thought I made a huge mistake. I was overthinking how they looked and how much my speech was impacted. It is now a year later and I don’t have a single regret.

The first week was challenging but after that, things became more normal and no one noticed them. I took them out for special occasions or when I went out and it didn’t cause any problems. It is also important to set realistic expectations. I was working to correct an overbite with treatment and could not be more pleased with the results. Invisalign improved my bite significantly and I have so much more confidence with my smile! It was well worth the additional brushing and waiting to drink my coffee in the morning. If you’re considering Invisalign, I encourage you to get started right away. The earlier you start, the sooner you will be done. I’m confident you won't regret it! The first few days can be a challenge, but it is well worth it in the end.
